SERVICES

Commercial & Residential

01

Silt Fence Installation

Retain the soil on your disturbed land or construction site with a
C-Type (sensitive), A-Type (non-sensitive), or tree saver silt fence. These temporary structures allow revegetation and permanent soil stabilization to begin.

02

Temporary/Permanent Grassing

Grasses have a dense root network, so adding grass to an area that has a tendency to erode is a great option. Plus, grass has other environmental benefits like boosting air quality and filtering pollutants.

03

Hay Blowing

This is the best temporary option for erosion control we offer.  It is an economical way to winterize a project that has not yet reached final grade.

04

Detention/Retention Pond

If your property has a tendency to hold water when it rains, you may want to consider this permanent erosion control solution. These types of ponds hold and distribute rain runoff, which in turn helps prevent flooding and keeps your land’s value.

05

Maintenance & Repairs

From silt fences and down spouts to retention or detention ponds, we can help keep your erosion control solutions performing at their highest capacity to keep your property intact.

06

Storm Water Management

Control water that may run off of your driveway, roof or other hard surfaces with appropriate drainage. We understand Georgia’s topography and soil and can recommend erosion control solutions to fit your property and budget.

07

Downspout Installation

An important element of stormwater management, downspouts work by emptying the contents of your gutters somewhere away from your house, like far out in your yard or in a storm drain. They need to be strategically placed to do their job correctly.

08

Hydroseeding

This is another temporary solution that consists of applying a mixture of seed, wood fiber, fertilizer, and stabilizing emulsion to land. It is effective for helping grass grow more quickly and preventing erosion of bare soil.

ABOUT

About our Business

For founder, Carl Welch, understanding erosion control has been a lifelong pursuit. At only 8 years old, he started learning about silt fences and other erosion control solutions from a family friend. As he got older, he started training alongside the company’s owner.

Even while working in the U.S. Armed Forces and later as a deputy with Forsyth County, his ultimate goal was to start his own erosion control services company to provide for his family and leave a legacy for his children. Now, with over 20 years of experience under his belt, he’s done just that with Welch Erosion Control which is GSWCC Level 1A Certified.

Carl also enjoys being part of the communities we serve, getting to know clients and helping connect people with one another for the betterment of the larger whole. Welch Erosion Control is proud to have completed projects throughout Helen, Lumpkin, Dawson, Hall, and Cobb counties.
